Pleasant Hill Church Activity Being Projected - Revival Starts Monday; Grounds Beautification, Singing Planned
     J. M. Drake announces a program of activity for the Pleasant Hill community and church that involves a cemetery clean-up, beautification of church grounds, singing convention and revival.
     Mr. Drake, a former resident of that community but for many years in the railway service from which he has retired, states that the community will observe next Wednesday as beautification and road building in one of the older cemeteries of the county. Workmen will be on the job at eight o'clock Wednesday morning and all having relatives buried there or are interested in the improvements are requested to give their services or employ workers.
     J. C. Drake, chairman of the cemetery committee, working with Doc Capps and Singleton Drake, will supervise the work.
Dinner will be served on the grounds. This will be in charge of Mrs. J. Louis Albea, chairman; Mrs. Fred Corn, Mrs. Arthur Gibbs, Mrs. Alonzo Stepp, Mrs. Singleton Drake and Mrs. Lou Summey.
     Mrs. Graham Connell, Mrs. Arthur Freeman and J. R. Neville compose a committee in charge of beautification of the church grounds. A new flue has been built in the church building and steps have been erected. Other improvements have been made and plans are under way for painting the building.
     The church recently called the Rev. Roy J. Davis of Georgia as pastor and he has announced that revival services will begin Monday night.
Mr. Drake stated that the Henderson County Singers association had accepted the invitation of the church to hold the singing at Pleasant Hill church on the first Sunday in November at 2 o'clock.
